Sunyani Municipal Assembly procures first swing crane truck in Bono Region

Under the leadership of MCE Ansu Kumi, the Sunyani Municipal Assembly in the Bono Region has acquired its first crane truck since its establishment.
According to the Chief Executive, this newly acquired truck will greatly aid the assembly in addressing issues such as faulty street lights and other tasks related to high-rise buildings.
He emphasised the procurement of this crane truck was part of a broader initiative to enhance the efficiency of service delivery within the assembly.
Additionally, the Assembly has acquired two sanitation trucks to aid said effort.
With the acquisition of this crane truck, the Sunyani Municipal Assembly becomes the first and only assembly in the Bono Region to possess such a vehicle.
Funding for these acquisitions has been sourced from the Secondary Cities Support Project account.
This initiative has already facilitated various infrastructure developments in the municipality, including the installation of a new street lighting system along principal streets, the construction of pedestrian walkways, and the completion of roads such as the social welfare road and the ongoing Petra Hotel road.
Furthermore, ongoing projects like the construction of a 3-acre urban park and a 500-meter storm drain at Zongo Abeti and Area 2 are also part of the Secondary Cities Support Project's endeavours to enhance the urban landscape and infrastructure of Sunyani.
