GRNMA gives gov't 48-hour ultimatum over assault on nurse

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the government, demanding the immediate arrest of Mr. Ralph Saint Williams, who is alleged to have assaulted a nurse at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge Hospital).
The Association described the incident as an attack not only on the individual nurse but also on the dignity and safety of all health workers across the country.
In a statement, GRNMA warned that failure by the authorities to act swiftly would compel the Association to consider further action in defense of its members.
The group stressed that hospitals are places of care and healing, and must not be turned into grounds for intimidation or violence against professionals.
It urged the government and law enforcement agencies to demonstrate their commitment to protecting frontline health workers by bringing the alleged perpetrator to justice.
