Gov't committed to completing 500-bed facility at Ho Teaching Hospital – Charles Agbeve

The Member of Parliament for Agotime-Ziope Constituency in the Volta Region and a member of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health, Charles Agbeve, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to completing a 500-bed capacity facility at the Ho Teaching Hospital.
The project aims to boost healthcare delivery and position Ghana as a hub for medical tourism.
Speaking during a working visit by the Health Committee to the hospital, Mr. Agbeve emphasised that the facility forms part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the Volta Region and expand access to specialised medical services.
He assured that the government is determined to ensure the project begins and is completed on schedule to meet the growing demand for quality healthcare services in the region.
"The new facility will not only address the healthcare needs of the people of the Volta Region but also attract patients from across the sub-region, enhancing Ghana's prospects as a centre for medical tourism," he stated.
The Health Committee’s visit was part of its routine oversight duties to inspect the status of healthcare facilities and monitor ongoing projects nationwide
