MCE of Accra opens new storage facility at Mamprobi Hospital

The Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Accra, Mr. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, has officially inaugurated a new storage facility at the Mamprobi Hospital in the Ablekuma South Sub-Metropolitan District of the Greater Accra Region, aimed at strengthening the hospital's capacity to manage medical supplies and boost overall healthcare delivery.
The newly completed facility comprises two administrative offices, a washroom, and a fully air-conditioned storage area specifically designed to house hospital consumables under optimal conditions.
Speaking at a brief ceremony held on the hospital grounds on Monday, Mr Allotey acknowledged the space constraints at the Mamprobi site and assured stakeholders that further improvements would be made to enhance healthcare infrastructure throughout the city.
He revealed that after receiving a briefing from the AMA Coordinating Director on the project’s status, he promptly instructed that the facility be opened to the public the following Monday, given its urgency and importance to hospital operations.
Mr Allotey reiterated his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in Accra, pledging that critical upgrades and necessary renovations would be carried out across the metropolis to ensure quality and accessible healthcare for all residents
