Adutwum holds blueprint to make Ghana a developed nation – Opoku Mensah

Spokesperson for Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Yaw Opoku Mensah, has thrown his weight behind the former education minister, describing him as the man with the blueprint to transform Ghana’s economy into that of a developed country.
Speaking on the Class Morning Show, Mr Mensah said Ghana could mark its centenary celebration as a developed nation if the country embraced the visionary policies Dr Adutwum had consistently advanced.
According to him, Dr Adutwum’s understanding of economic transformation went beyond the usual conversations about exchange rate fluctuations and import–export activities, which, he argued, had not provided the consistent 10% GDP growth needed to reach developed status.
“Serious countries do not continue to import when they can develop their human resources to reproduce what they keep importing, especially in technology and machinery. With firm commitment, dedication to duty, and the right mindset, we can achieve it,” Mr Mensah stated.
He pointed to Dr Adutwum’s technical and STEM initiatives during his tenure at the ministry of education as evidence of his ability to drive accelerated socioeconomic change.
“Dr Adutwum holds the blueprint and has the implementation strategy of which we all can attest. His integrity, trustworthiness, and commitment to duty make him a patriot Ghana cannot afford to lose in leadership,” he added.
Mr Mensah urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to “gift the country” with Dr Adutwum’s leadership by electing him as the party’s flagbearer in the January 31, 2026, presidential primaries.
