The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has called on Ghanaians to intensify prayers for the nation as concerns about rising corruption, declining ethical standards, and eroding moral values continue to grip society.

Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Day service held at the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in Kumasi, Dr. Amoakohene stressed that only through collective prayer and spiritual renewal can Ghana restore righteousness and integrity in both its public and private sectors.

“Our nation is at a critical point where values are declining rapidly.

We must seek divine intervention. Only prayer can bring back the honesty, accountability, and uprightness we need in governance and everyday life,” he stated.

His call was echoed by religious leaders present at the event.

The Chairman of the Kumasi Local Council of Churches, Rev. Dr. Douglas Frimpong, urged Ghanaians to live righteous lives, reminding them of the biblical principle: “Righteousness exalts a nation.”

Also speaking at the service, the General Overseer of Come Preach Fire Fellowship, Rev. Yaw Owusu Achaw, supported the message, adding that national transformation must begin with spiritual renewal and personal accountability.
