Bold leadership is what NPP needs now - Bryan Acheampong

Flagbearer hopeful of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, has said that the party requires courageous and decisive leadership, qualities he brings to the table to help the NPP secure victory in the 2028 elections.
Speaking after submitting his nomination forms at the party headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, the Abetifi legislator stressed that the NPP’s future depends on its ability to rally around a leader who can unite its grassroots and restore national confidence in its vision.
“Throughout my leadership journey, I have not shied away from bold decisions. Leadership is not about avoiding challenges; it is about confronting them with clarity and courage,” he said.
The filing ceremony, which drew a large crowd of supporters and party executives, was marked by chants of solidarity and a renewed sense of anticipation for the upcoming primaries. Supporters waved placards bearing slogans such as “Bryan for Bold Leadership” and “Unity for Victory 2028,” all in support of his candidacy.
In his address, Dr. Acheampong also outlined his vision for both the party and the country. For the NPP, he pledged to rebuild internal unity and reignite the spirit of its grassroots supporters, whom he described as the backbone of the party. Nationally, he promised to focus on food security, youth empowerment, and modern infrastructure development as central pillars of his leadership agenda.
He argued that the NPP must offer Ghanaians not just slogans but a credible, forward-looking vision of transformation. “The NPP must present a clear, bold vision to Ghanaians—one that shows we are ready to lead again and deliver lasting change,” he declared.
Closing his remarks, Dr. Acheampong appealed to delegates who will decide the flagbearer race, urging them to back his candidacy as the most viable path to victory in 2028.
