Mahama’s decisive win not only phenomena but 70% spiritual – Jesus Ahuofe
Mr Stephen Appiah, popularly known as Jesus Ahoufe, the Leader and Founder of New Life Kingdom Chapel in the Greater Accra Region, has credited former President John Dramani Mahama’s victory in the December 7 elections to divine intervention.
Speaking on the GHANA YENSOM morning show on Accra 100.5 FM, hosted by Odehyeeba Kofi Essuman, on Friday, December 13, 2024, Jesus Ahoufe claimed that 70 per cent of Mahama’s win was spiritual.
He explained that prayers from spiritual leaders played a significant role in the President-elect’s decisive victory over the governing New Patriotic Party.
“As spiritual leaders, we prayed fervently for God to send His angels to cast their votes for Mahama,” he said. “The outcome may seem extraordinary, but it is the hand of God at work because Mahama is a prayerful man.”
Jesus Ahoufe emphasized that Mahama’s constant prayers saved him from defeat and brought him victory.
He described the National Democratic Congress (NDC) winning 34 per cent of total votes in the Ashanti Region—a traditional stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP)—as evidence of God’s intervention.
“This is unprecedented and can only be attributed to the handiwork of God.
Some of us fasted and prayed for this decisive win so Mahama could come and save the nation,” he remarked.
The pastor predicted that Mahama would lead Ghana to prosperity, liberating the country from its current economic challenges.
“This victory is a novelty,” he said. “Mahama will take Ghana to the promised land.”
