Mpraeso residents voice out their disappointment in NPP’s lack of development as John Mahama tours Eastern Region

Residents of Mpraeso, traditionally a stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), have expressed deep disappointment in the party’s lack of infrastructural development in their community.
Speaking to residents, many shared their initial hopes that the NPP would surpass the achievements of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in addressing local needs.
However, they feel the NPP has fallen short of these expectations.
During a mini-rally in Mpraeso as part of John Dramani Mahama’s campaign tour in the Eastern Region, a large crowd turned out to welcome the former president and his team.
In his address, Mr. Mahama highlighted the frustration of Mpraeso residents, criticizing the NPP’s neglect of the area over nearly eight years in power.
He noted that any development in Mpraeso and the Kwahu region at large had been initiated under the previous NDC administration.
According to Mr. Mahama, the NPP has failed to deliver on its promises, and he assured residents that an NDC government would prioritize equitable development across all regions, including Mpraeso.
