NDC National Chairman leads delegation to China for strategic party engagements

The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, is leading a high-level delegation of party officials to the People’s Republic of China for a strategic engagement with the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The visit, which forms part of the NDC’s international relations agenda, will focus on strengthening bilateral ties and deepening party-to-party collaboration with the CPC.

According to an official statement signed by the party’s Director of Communications, Kakra Essamuah, the delegation will engage their Chinese counterparts on several key areas, including:

Consolidation of local government structures in Ghana

Strengthening of party-to-party ties

Political exchange programmes between the youth wings of the two parties

Exploration of economic and investment opportunities

Joining Mr Asiedu-Nketiah on the delegation are:

Comrade Vincent Kuagbenu – Director for Special Duties

Dr. Karl Mark Arhin – Deputy Director of International Relations

Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw – National Women’s Organiser

Kwaku Asiedu-Nketiah – Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee

The delegation is expected to return to Ghana on May 17, 2025.

In the interim, Comrade Awudu Sofo Azorka, the NDC’s National Vice Chairman, will act as National Chairman during Mr. Asiedu-Nketiah’s absence.
