NDC has, indeed, not been hungry enough for power – Yamin

The National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Joseph Yamin, has said the party has not been hungry enough for power.
According to him, the NDC has to save this country by whatever means necessary from the vagaries of the governing New Patriotic Party.
He admitted that people who think that the NDC is not doing enough on the streets may be right.
The National Organiser of the party made this admission in an interview on the Citizen Show hosted by Kwabena Bobie Ansah on Accra100.5FM on Monday 20, 2023 from the venue of the NDC's 'True State of the Nation Address’, University of Professional Studies, Legon, Accra.
He said observers who think that the NDC is not doing enough by not hitting the streets in the wake of the “gross mismanagement” of the economy may be right.
Mr Yamin said hitting the streets is not the only avenue available to the party but those who yearn for it, “in the coming days will see something.”
He was quick to say that it is a matter of strategy and the party cannot be seen all the time putting its strategies out there.
“What is key in the arsenal of the new executives is to save this country from the NPP's ineptitude,” he said.
“I can assure [you that] the rank and file of the party [and] the Asiedu Nketia-led administration will win power for NDC,” he projected.
For his part, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Banda Constituency in the Bono Region, Mr Ibrahim Ahmed, explained that: “You can only chew corn if you have a head,” adding that what is key now is for the NDC to win power.
“It is not about making promises but winning power is key,” he said.
He berated the NPP for not being able to even announce a date for its parliamentary and presidential primaries.
“The NPP started before us but we are about organising primaries for parliamentary and presidential,” he noted.
