NPP refers petitions against Owusu Bempah to National Council

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has referred multiple petitions filed against its Deputy Director of Communications, Mr. Ernest Owusu Bempah, to the party’s National Council for consideration.
In a statement released by the Party’s Secretariat and signed by Justin Kodua Frimpong, the leadership expressed “grave concern” over the conduct of Mr. Owusu Bempah, noting that it had officially received petitions from members calling for his removal from office.
The Party emphasised that, in line with due process, the matter has been escalated to the National Council, which has the authority to make a final determination.
This is because Mr. Owusu Bempah’s appointment was initially made on the recommendation of the National Executive Committee and subsequently approved by the Council.
“The Party reaffirms its unwavering commitment to upholding discipline and safeguarding its values,” the statement added.
