Napo provided evidence of his arrogance to Asantehene with his Nkrumah gaff - Asiedu Nketia

The National Chairman of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has urged the electorate to see through the governing New Patriotic Party's (NPP) attempts to mask the arrogance of Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, their running mate for the 2024 general elections.
According to Mr. Asiedu-Nketia, known in political circles as General Mosquito, Dr. Prempeh, also known as Napo, is notably arrogant and disrespectful.
Mr. Asiedu-Nketia recounted an incident where Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, advised Dr. Prempeh on his demeanour during his presentation as the NPP's running mate.
However, Napo disregarded this counsel and showed his true colours by disrespecting Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, in his speech at the Jubilee Park unveiling.
During an exclusive interview on the Dwabo morning show, co-hosted by Dr. Desmond Kofi Annan and Harrison Kweku Ofori on Accra-based CTV on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Mr. Asiedu-Nketia emphasized the problematic nature of Dr. Prempeh’s character.
He stated that Napo's derogatory remarks about Dr. Nkrumah demonstrated his inherent arrogance.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia expressed that the NDC welcomed Napo's selection as the NPP’s running mate, likening it to an opposing team fielding an injured player in a crucial match.
He believes this choice will ultimately benefit the NDC in the upcoming December 7 general elections
