Perpetual Ekua Lomokie aims to be youngest to hold the position of NPP Women Organiser

Former Deputy National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Perpetual Ekua Lomokie, has officially declared her intention to contest for the position of National Women Organiser, with a bold vision to energise and empower women within the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Should she win, Ms. Lomokie will become the youngest person ever to occupy the position—a feat she hopes will signal a generational shift and a renewed commitment to grassroots mobilisation and women’s leadership in the NPP.
In her declaration statement, the dynamic young leader and founding President of the NPP Loyal Ladies expressed strong optimism about the transformative role women can play in the party’s electoral fortunes.
According to her, “When united, resourced, and given the space to lead, women are the engine that can reimagine, correct, and deliver a historic win for the NPP in 2028.”
Ms. Lomokie’s campaign is anchored on a clear and bold vision: to create space and opportunities for women at all levels of the party to grow, lead, and contribute meaningfully.
She pledged to listen, learn, and lead with compassion, ensuring that the voices, concerns, and ideas of women shape the future direction of the NPP.
She believes the time has come to rebuild trust, reignite passion, and reposition the party to connect more meaningfully with the voter base.
With Ghana’s current voter population standing at 18.7 million, of which women account for 51.6%, and over 55% of voters are between the ages of 18 and 35—Ms. Lomokie argues that the party needs forward-thinking leaders who resonate with these demographics.
She stressed the importance of electing leaders with a proven track record in grassroots mobilisation and the capacity to energise the party’s base. Drawing from her experience, she noted the importance of engaging constituencies such as students, market women, seamstresses, hairdressers, and young professionals in both the formal and informal sectors.
Perpetual Ekua Lomokie is widely recognised for her strong leadership in youth and women’s advocacy, community development, and political mobilisation. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in National Security Law & Practice, and already holds a Master’s in Gender, Peace and Security, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
From 2018 to 2022, she served as Deputy National Youth Organiser of the NPP, playing a key role in volunteer recruitment, policy advocacy, party logistics, and campaign coordination. As the founder and Executive Director of The Perpetual Akwada Foundation, she has spearheaded numerous charitable initiatives across the country.
Her professional experience spans the Parliamentary Service of Ghana, where she served under the Deputy Clerk, as well as senior administrative roles at Cosmos Construction and Desimone Construction Company Limited.
Ms. Lomokie is also the Director of the Kabaka Foundation, and has held several influential positions in student and youth organisations, including President of the Loyal Ladies, Vice President of TESCON at MUCG, and Secretary of The Saltpond Forum.
Passionate, forward-thinking, and deeply committed to gender equality and civic leadership, Perpetual Ekua Lomokie is positioning herself as a fresh, bold, and unifying force to rally the NPP’s women’s front for victory in 2028.
