Tema East Constituency NDC embarks on a unity float
The Friends of Ashai in collaboration with Tema East Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on, 28 May 2023, embarked on a float throughout some principal streets of Tema East in the Greater Accra Region.
The float was led by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema East Constituency and parliamentary candidate-elect, Isaac Ashai Odamtten, and the Constituency Chairman Mr Kempes Papa Nii Ofosuware, Joseph Tetteh, Kpone Katamanso MP.
Hundreds of party supporters showed up for the float clad in NDC colours and among other activities, danced to music.
The supporters walked from Kplejootsoshishi through to Tema Newtown to some principal streets of Tema Community 1 and back to Tema Newtown.
MP Isaac Ashai Odamtten in a remark expressed his gratitude to the branch executives for electing him to lead the Constituency again in 2024.
He thanked them for their continuous support.
He assured them of his zeal to serve them and to fight for their interests. He urged everyone to bury their differences after the parliamentary primaries and to remain steadfast in their support for NDC to retain him and to vote massively for John Dramani Mahama come December 7, 2024.
Speaking at the event, the Constituency Chairman, Kempes Papa Nii Ofosuware said the Tema East seat is now the stronghold of the NDC and as the chairman, his priority is to increase votes from the last elections to 15,000 plus difference.
Michael Nii Abbey, an aspirant in the just-ended primaries also promised to throw his support behind the MP to ensure the seat is retained.
