Tema Mayor holds first management meeting, rallies Assembly behind transformational agenda
The newly appointed Mayor of Tema in the Greater Accra Region, Madam Ebi Bright, has convened her first official management meeting with Heads of Department of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), urging them to rally behind her vision for transformation and development in the city.
In her address, Miss Bright emphasised the urgent need for collective action to address the current deteriorating state of Tema’s infrastructure.
She called on departmental heads to take ownership of the city's challenges and work collaboratively to restore Tema to its former glory.
“The current state of affairs will not afford us the glory of the past,” she remarked.
“We must put our shoulders to the wheel and take bold steps to change the narrative.”
The Mayor’s call to action forms part of a broader agenda to reposition Tema as a model metropolis, focused on sustainable infrastructure, improved service delivery, and inclusive governance.
Later in the day, Ms. Bright paid a brief visit to the weekly meeting of the Council of Tribal Chiefs.
She used the opportunity to express her gratitude for their wise counsel and acknowledged their vital role in maintaining the peace and harmony that the Tema Metropolis enjoys.
