Tsatsu Tsikata endorses John Mahama over Bawumia
Renowned Ghanaian lawyer Tsatsu Tsikata has announced his support for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Presidential Candidate, John Mahama, in the upcoming December 7 election.
Mr Tsikata expressed confidence in Mahama’s leadership, stating that his previous tenure was markedly better than the current administration’s performance.
“I am voting for John Mahama because of the clear failures of the current government.
Mr Mahama’s performance during his previous term was much better than what we have seen in recent times,” he explained.
Mr Tsikata commended the former President’s accomplishments, viewing them as evidence of his ability to drive national progress.
He also voiced disappointment in the Akufo-Addo-led government, arguing that the current administration has let Ghanaians down, particularly in economic management and governance.
“The depth to which we have sunk, not only in terms of the economy but also in governance, makes it hard to justify voting for someone who, as Vice President, was deeply involved,” Tsikata added, calling for a change in leadership.
Mr Tsikata’s endorsement comes amid growing debate over the country’s future, with voters preparing to choose their next leader in less than a month.
He spoke in an interview with Accra-based GhOne TV
