Mayor of Accra to mark first anniversary of late mother, Madam Patience Commodore

The Mayor of Accra, Michael Kpakpo Allotey, and his family will this weekend commemorate the first anniversary of the passing of his beloved mother, Madam Patience Commodore, who died in 2024.
Born in 1953, Madam Patience Commodore was widely known for her warmth, generosity, and devotion to her family and community, and was described by the family as one who cannot be replaced.
In accordance with an official invitation to friends, sympathisers, dignitaries, and well-wishers to join in the solemn celebration, under the theme “No One Can Replace You’’, a memorial service and the unveiling of tomb would be held on Saturday, 28th June 2025, at 7:00 a.m. at the Osu Cemetery, followed by a private family gathering.
The invitation revealed that the remembrance would continue on Sunday, 29th June 2025, with an all-white Thanksgiving Service at Solid Rock Chapel International at 9:00 a.m. in honour of Madam Commodore’s life and legacy, followed by an all-white reception at the Mayor’s residence at Ridge at 1:00 p.m.
The Mayor, in a tribute, described his late mother as a pillar of strength, a symbol of humility, God fearing and a constant source of encouragement in his personal and professional life, adding that her prayers and sacrifices laid the foundation for all the successes he and his siblings enjoy today
