In a move towards financial modernisation, the National Service Authority (NSA) has officially transitioned to a fully cashless payment system.

The initiative is part of the Government of Ghana’s broader strategy to foster a cashless economy, aimed at boosting transparency, convenience, and accessibility for all stakeholders.

Starting immediately, all payments to the NSA, including the 20% and 10% administrative service charges, must be processed through the GHANA.GOV platform.

This directive applies uniformly to all user agencies and stakeholders, effectively eliminating manual payment transactions with NSA staff across district, regional, and headquarters offices.

The GHANA.GOV platform provides a comprehensive digital interface for accessing government services, offering a range of seamless payment options such as:

1. Bank Cards: Acceptance of both debit and credit cards.

2. Mobile Money: Accessible via *222# on all mobile networks.

3. Online Banking: Convenient payments through internet banking and mobile banking apps.

4. QR Code: Quick payments using scan-to-pay technology.

5. Direct Transfers: Account-to-account transfer facilities.

6. SWIFT Transfers: Enabling international payment transactions.

7. ACH Transfers: Suitable for automated clearing house payments.

To simplify transactions, payments for the 10% administrative charge can be initiated directly from the personnel dashboard. Meanwhile, invoices for the 20% administrative service charge will be dispatched via email to the HR or Finance representatives of the respective user agencies.

Mr Felix Gyamfi, Director-General of the NSA, emphasised the importance of this digital shift, stating it was designed to create a more efficient, secure, and user-friendly payment environment.

“This strategic transition not only aligns with the government's digitalisation goals but also reinforces the NSA’s commitment to operational excellence, financial integrity, and enhanced service delivery,” he noted.
