GA/R: Ashai Odamtten deepens grassroots engagement during parliamentary recess

Member of Parliament for Tema East Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Isaac Ashai Odamtten, has reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots engagement with a successful two-day interaction with branch executives of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the parliamentary recess.
The sessions, held on April 12 and 13, 2025, at Community One and Tema Newtown, respectively, brought together NDC branch executives for a candid dialogue with the MP.
The engagements provided a platform for Mr. Odamtten to address pressing concerns, share updates on governance, and discuss upcoming opportunities for constituents.
Among key issues discussed was the formation of boards for major state-owned enterprises located in Tema. Mr . Odamtten assured participants that he would advocate for opportunities that would benefit the constituency once these boards are constituted.
His proactive stance and openness won him widespread praise from the executives.
A branch executive commended the initiative, noting that regular engagements like this are essential in dispelling misinformation and fostering trust between elected leaders and their constituents.
Many left the sessions with renewed confidence in Odamtten’s leadership and a sense of optimism about the future of the constituency.
In his remarks, Mr Odamtten expressed deep appreciation to the branch executives for their active participation and to all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the programme, including ward coordinators, opinion leaders, and organisers.
“This engagement was not just about updating constituents; it was about listening, understanding, and planning together for the development of Tema East,” Mr. Odamtten said.
“I remain committed to working tirelessly for the progress and prosperity of our people.”
