Kennedy Agyapong declares intent to contest NPP presidential primaries for 2028

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has officially announced his intention to contest the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries ahead of the 2028 general election.
The outspoken businessman and politician made the declaration during a public engagement, signalling his readiness to lead the NPP and, ultimately, the country.
Agyapong, known for his bold and controversial style, previously contested the party’s flagbearer slot in 2023 but lost to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
In his announcement, Agyapong emphasised his commitment to grassroots development, economic empowerment, and anti-corruption, promising a leadership style rooted in discipline and patriotism.
He urged party members and Ghanaians to rally behind his vision for a more accountable and prosperous Ghana.
“I am not giving up. The vision I have for Ghana remains alive and stronger than ever.
I believe I have what it takes to transform this country,” he said.
