Tain Deputy NDC Organiser applauds arrest of Abronye, says it’s a lesson for all

The National Democratic Congress' (NDC's) Constituency Deputy Organiser for Tain in the Bono Region, Mr Francis Obeng, has reacted to the arrest of the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye.
According to him, the arrest did not come as a surprise, as Abronye has consistently engaged in reckless utterances in the media space.
Mr. Obeng noted that residents in the Bono Region have welcomed the news of Abronye’s arrest with jubilation, describing it as a step in the right direction.
He applauded the NDC government for allowing the rule of law to take its course.
He further explained that the arrest should serve as a deterrent to politicians and other individuals who use media platforms to make inflammatory or defamatory statements.
He made this comment in an interview.
Mr. Obeng concluded by urging the authorities to allow the law to deal with Abronye decisively.
He emphasised that this would not only discipline the outspoken politician but also send a strong message to others who may be tempted to misuse their platforms in the future.
